Revisiting The Pierre Bayou Corridor

Hey ReFormers! It’s National Bike Month, and in that spirit we wanted to share an old article about a biking and walking corridor through the heart of Shreveport. During our city’s journey to open safely, you may be looking for more opportunities to enjoy recreational opportunities right in our own backyard.

Since this article was written, this route along Pierre Bayou has experienced some change. There are now dedicated bike lanes along Gilbert and Marshall that enhance comfortable and convenient bike access to downtown. This is a great example of the small improvements that can make the core of our city better.

Where have you been spending more time outside (with social distance of course) these last few months? What barriers to biking and walking have you experienced? Shoot us an email or send us a message on Facebook!
