It's almost time for our biggest park cleanup yet! Highland Park has come so far in the last 18 months as we have combatted erosion, surveyed for neighborhood needs, and brainstormed the best way to spend $200,000 of bond money for capital improvements.
On Saturday, April 14th from 9am to 2pm, we will be setting up new erosion control measures near the new walking paths, collecting trash, planting trees, and fixing up some of the disc golf amenities just in time to enjoy the spring and summer months.
We've partnered up with many exciting groups including Highland Restoration Association, the Warrior Network, Shreveport Green, and the Shreveport-Bossier Disc Golf Union to help get the park in shape.
Even with the help of our partners, we need your help to reach our goal of 50 people to come out to get the work done. Be one set of hands of the many to make for light work! Bring a friend!
P.S. - Be sure to bring work or garden gloves, a hat, sunglasses or protective eyewear with you. We will have a few extra sets on hand. ReForm and our partners will be bringing the tools and materials!
