We will be clearing the park of trash and ensuring walkways and sidewalks are clean and safe while looking at future ways to assist the park. Through the day we will casually discuss ideas for re-forming of Shreveport in light of Chuck Marohn's visit last month. We will also learn about a Highland resident's endeavor to combat problems like erosion.
Meet us at the south end of Highland Park at the Tennis Courts on Saturday, November 19th at 10am. There we will discuss a plan of action for the day and officially kick off our first community project and show this wonderful city park some love!
We will be bringing an assortment of tools, trash bags, waters, snack, and we will provide some pizza lunch goodness. Come prepared for work with a fun-loving and civic-minded attitude! We encourage everyone to bring work or gardening gloves for safety and protection. If you have and would like to bring your own equipment, we encourage it! We will be using:
- Push Brooms
- Gas Blowers
- Weed Eaters
- Bush Shears
We can't wait to see you all there!
